Hey, I'm Makayla Lockhart!

I graduated from the University of North Texas in December 2022 with a degree in Photojournalism and a minor in music.

I was the Student Administrator for Media Management with the UNT Green Brigade for two years. In my first two years with the Green Brigade, I was a member of the drumline and in my last two, I got to have a completely different experience.

In 2022, I completed my photojournalism internship with the Crossmen Drum & Bugle Corps.

I joined the Blue Stars media team in 2023 and returned for the 2024 season.

Since graduating from UNT, I worked for a company called SchoolPix Inc. as a portrait photographer and editor. My day-to-day job involved taking yearbook, sports, spring, and group photos at various Frisco, Mckinney, and Plano ISD schools. I now work at a portrait studio called Park Hill Fine Art Portraits where I take high end portraiture of families, pets, etc.!
